A
- AI agentAn AI agent is software that can take a series of steps toward a goal, sometimes by using tools such as email, a calendar, or a browser. A chatbot usually answers one message. An agent tries to carry the task further.
- Artificial intelligenceArtificial intelligence, or AI, is software that can do tasks that usually need a person, such as understanding words, spotting a pattern, or drafting a reply. It is not a mind, and it does not know things the way you do.

C
- ChatbotA chatbot is a chat window where you type and the software replies. Many chatbots today use a large language model. The chatbot is the product you talk to. The model is the engine inside it.
- Context windowThe context window is how much text a tool can keep in mind at once. That includes your prompt, earlier messages, files you attached, and the reply it is writing. When the window is full, the tool may drop the beginning.

- TokenA token is a small chunk of text a model reads or writes. A token is often a whole word or part of a word. Some tools measure length and price in tokens.
- Training dataTraining data is the set of examples used to teach a model before you ever talk to it. Your chat is a later step. It is not the same thing as that original training. Some products may use chats to improve the service unless you turn that off. Settings differ, and they change.
